Joy Schroeder
Artist bio Joy Schroeder was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Washington University Art School with a major in design and a minor in sculpture. - worked for book publishers; free lanced graphics for Oldsmobile, MSU, and Advertising Agencies. - studied printmaking under nationally known artist John Goodyear in Grand Rapids, and Jim Fagan at MSU. Also sculpture at MSU with Jim Lawton. - was Special Events Chairman for Kresge Art Museum at MSU. - was Artists’ Chairman for Twilight in the Garden-MSU Kresge Art Museum, a fundraiser for the new Eli Broad/Zaha Hadid Art Museum at MSU. - Coordinated the Christian Art Show, an annual juried regional art exhibit, with national/ international artists, started in Sparta Michigan and brought to East Lansing. - She has exhibited at local, regional, national and international galleries including Japan, Australia, and Chile.
