Description of work: " Drummer and Guitar Player " is a two-panel painting that portrays the energy of two figures, one playing the drums, and the other playing the electric guitar. I wanted to capture the intensity that musicians feel when they they play their instruments. Even though there is no actual audio element in this piece, the viewer can sense the music through the rendering of the drums being played, and the movement of the guitar player's hand on the strings. The inspiration for this piece is my twin sons who play the drums and guitar. |
