Description of work: Life can be frenetic and hectic -- my work is not. My work is from nature, for people. Fragility, strength, stillness and movement are present thoughts in my painting. Each work is a distillation of an experience into its essence. The open space allows both subject and viewer to breathe. My paintings and drawings are meditative, calm, and reflective both in process and product. It is not simplicity, rather restraint and precision that create calm within the work. This work will expand on a series of small drawings I am currently working on. The dimensions of the piece are flexible -- depending on available space. |
