About the work
Title: Symbiotic Seal

Art form: 3-D

Year created: 2010

Description of work: When I found this birch log in the woods, and saw the way it was perched, a "seal" was born in my mind. Upon discovery of 2 holes in the "seal's body", I decided to incorporate a snake creation as its symbiotic partner.

The Barbie doll legs as a means of propulsion and the wiring for sensory receptors just came out during the process of creating the piece.
