About the work
Title: Beach at Kihei

Art form: 2-D

Medium: Oil

Year created: Work not created yet

Description of work: We are currently working on three separate panels painted by three different artists and then placed together to create our version of a bright sunny day on the shore of Maui. Your senses can almost smell the ocean breeze and the tropical colors take you to the outriggers on the sandy beach. The palm trees shoot up in the blue sky with leave lines dancing above the ocean.

We paint with vivid colors and like to play with lines and colors in multiple shades that interact and fool the eye. There are some noticeable differences of colors and some lines that do not quite match on each of the panels showing our individual styles, but the composition holds together as one piece. Your eyes see the subtle differences, but your brain instinctively fills in all the gaps for you to see only one painting. We enjoy our art and the interaction of collaborative painting as it creates challenges and new ways to solve them to end up with one painting. Please check back soon, it is on the way!
