Description of work: In the past I would silk screen on to large wood boards also using other mixed media. Including hand cut spray painted stencils and pre made stencils to create a very flat 2D image. I currently have taken my art in a new direction printing my layers on Plexiglas and building a box to hold them spaced separately apart. I then illuminate the back to create a light box effect. For this year's ArtPrize, I plan to make a large light box with 5 to 6 layers of imagery reflecting the complexity of women in the 1950's and 60's. |
