About the work
Title: Sermon on the Mount

Art form: 2-D

Medium: acrylic as mock stained glass

Year created: 2010

Description of work: I felt compelled to create this painting in view of all of the anxiety felt by the constant symbols of fear in our world today. The design is Jesus at the "Sermon on the Mount" from the bible. I want to show release in the beauty of living and that all of nature is art. You are looking at a picture of the actual painting done on a panel in acrylic with silver top coat. It reflects our spiritual joy and freedom. I painted it in beautiful acrylic colors to depict stained glass when well lit. The size is 40" X 68", it will be framed in gold and ready to hang.
