Linda Powers
Artist bio: My name is Linda Powers. I am a wife, mother and a grandmother. I have been an artist at heart all my life. My brother and mother are also artists, so i guess it runs in the family. I had put my artistic ability on hold while I raised our six children and helped raise grandchildren. However, about four years ago I began painting again. I work mostly in oil and do a lot of sketching. So far I paint children and horses but would love to add landscapes to my work. I have painted portraits of each of my fifteen grandchildren, some twice. I love to capture all the sweet, funny and ever changing moments of their lives.
Artist statement: I am in awe of the God who created me, who blessed me and gave me the talent and the ability to see and appreciate the beauty of His creation and the desire to capture it in my work.
