Description of work: This is a 5'x5' watercolor of nine sections that are sewn together. The sections are cold press watercolor paper, each painted with an individual theme but also connects with the others to create a unifying image. The subject is a girl, centered, surrounded by an explosion of expressive motifs. The title "Stream" is relating to how watercolor elements 'flow' into each other to create tangible subjects for the viewer to comprehend.

Work statement: This piece is an illustration that investigates the spontanious nature of the watercolor medium. Additional mediums are used to articulate detail. Nine watercolor squares have been sewn to create the largest watercolor I have produced to date: nearly five foot! It is an homage to watercolor's versitality of expression.

It was an amazing experience to create this piece. I ordinarily work in a more traditional style, so it was very exciting to work outside of my comfort zone and approach new techniques. I favor watercolor above all mediums, and I've sure other watercolor lovers will appreciate this piece as much as I have enjoyed painting it. Thank you!
