Artist bio: Anthony L Jackson 53 years old raised in rural michigan, growing up I was allowed to use the tools available on my parents farm and already haveing an interest in drawing,painting and art in general that led to my first welded metal sculptures. I have also tried my hand at airbrush art but I get the most satisfaction from metal work, that has led to recent works that include knives,flowers and various creatures that include Edgar the dragon that I am submiting for art prize. recentley my work has been featured in EASYRIDER and VTWIN magazine and the ECLECTIC gallery in Ionia also at the ODDITIES & ART gallery in Fennville
Artist statement: I get great satisfaction from taking scrap metal and found parts that are in their raw state so ridgid and unyeilding and taking what I see in them in their natural form and through heat and other techniques giveing them life and character, then watching other people recognize and get enjoyment from what I have created.
