Susan Stoner
Artist bio: Susan Stoner is a self-taught photographer and digital artist. Her work has been on display in local venues, and can be seen in several homes and businesses throughout Michigan, as well as several other states throughout the country. She has also had success with a line of cards designed from her photos and digital art.

She enjoys the challenge of improving techniques, adding her own twist and turning photos into unique pieces of art.

Artist statement: Different perspectives, creative techniques and unique styles of framing challenge her to take photos and create pieces of art that touch the senses, stir emotions and inspire.

Description of work: Inside Looking Out was photographed at the Grand Canyon. With a different perspective, it was taken from inside a dark room creating a silhouette of a Mission-Style lamp. The window view of the Grand Canyon lends a stained-glass window appearance, compliments of Mother Nature.

Work statement: This piece is mounted and laminated onto a 1/8” medium density fiberboard with beveled edges and set onto a 1” frame for a multi-dimensional look.
