Artist participation

The ArtPrize rules are intentionally designed to allow for broad diversity of artists and venues. Contact us if you have questions.

• You are 18 years of age
• You must show your work at an ArtPrize registered venue
• You do not have to travel to Grand Rapids, a venue can install your work
• Your work does not infringe on third party rights
• Submitted work is owned by the artist
• Artist has not received past payment for the submitted work

• Submit work online and pay the $50 registration fee (non-refundable)
• You complete a Hosting Agreement with a venue - What's this?
• You may submit only one work - What's "work?"
• You may collaborate, but that work counts as the submission for each collaborator involved
• The $50 entry fee (non-refundable) is for one work, collaborative work pays only one entry fee
• You are responsible for transportation and removal of work from the venue
• You may sell your work, but it must remain in the ArtPrize exhibition until October 10, 2010
• ArtPrize is not involved in selling the work
• You grant ArtPrize permission to use imagery of the work submitted for the event
• ArtPrize is not responsible for damages to work

• You must complete registration, including payment, by Thursday, May 27, 2010 (5 p.m. EST)
• You must have entered into a hosting agreement with a venue and secured the connection on artprize.org by Thursday, July 1, 2010 (5 p.m. EST)
• Your work must be installed by noon September 22, 2010 or it is not eligible for the competition
