2012 ArtPrize Entry
Add to Collection

My landscape textile paintings are an expression of my life long love of fabric, sewing, art and nature. "Seasons" is a series of four impressionistic landscape art quilts depicting the seasonal changes of Northern Michigan. The woodland scenes capture the changing seasons starting with spring marking the beginning of new life. Summer includes the rich, lush and vivid colors of summer foliage. The warm colors of Autumn invite the viewer in. The last scene is a sparkling white snow scene of winter marking the end of a season. The four scenes are connected with a distant hillside of evergreen trees. I strieve to integrate textures and wonderful prints of fabric into my art quilts thus representing the beautiful world in which I life in.
