Alexander Levi is co-principal of SLO Architecture, based in New York City and a licensed architect in New York and New Jersey. Together with Amanda Schachter, they have received numerous awards for their public work including the 2013 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, a 2014 AIA Design Award, the 2013 Dwell Vision Award, and the 2015 Mojdeh Baratloo Urban Urge Award. In their mission to bring vitality, connectivity, and sustainability to public space, SLO Architecture has worked with many city agencies and non-profits, including NYC Department of Parks, MTA Arts & Design, NYC Department of Transportation, Bronx River Alliance, Youth Ministries for Peace & Justice, Gowanus Canal Conservancy, Inwood Canoe Club, City as Living Laboratory, Bronx Council on Environmental Quality, Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club, Huntington Free Library, Row New York, and Vita Sports. Levi holds a Masters of Architecture from Yale University and a Bachelors from Wesleyan University.
