Life (Choices)
Life (Choices) is a 3D mosaic of old and new board game parts. It is intended to initially appear whimsical and fun to look at, but to contain on further inspection interesting questions and details. The most noticeable feature is the 4 foot tall letters that spell "LIFE", readable from a long distance. Readable from a medium distance, the large letters contain smaller letters that spell the phrase "YOUR DECISIONS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE". From close up, those letters are made up of scrabble tile letters that, read clockwise in an inward spiral, are the public domain poem "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost. In the negative space outside the letters are tiles made up of many different board game boards, arranged in a rough chronological order of a person's life, with different paths winding throughout that branch and represent different life choices. Components from many different games provide visual interest and display scenes of potential choices and their consequences.
