Agim Rudi is a talented sculptor and professor of art and sculpture in the Republic of Kosovo. An Albanian survivor of genocide in the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s, his works are inspired by stories of war, mass killings, forced exodus and perseverance through love and forgiveness which can be viewed at www.agimrudiart.com After the war ended in 1999, Rudi and his family returned from the refugee camp to their home in a liberated Kosovo. While Rudi is a well-known artist in Southeast Europe, he hopes to gain exposure through ArtPrize and inspire others with his moving stories of community, survival and perseverance through his art. His experience has inspired his works in a powerful way. Last year he exhibited his piece "The Scream" in ArtPrize and received the Social Action Committee Award from Fountain Street Church which was judged by David Rosen, former president of Kendall College, and Cathy Marashi of GVSU.
