Rick DeVos

Rick DeVos is a social entrepreneur and founder of ArtPrize®. He is also co-founder of Spout.com, TheCommon.org and a myriad of other companies working to create conversations and bring simple solutions to seemingly large cultural problems. With ArtPrize he wants to see what happens when a city becomes a gallery, artists engage directly with the public, and the public has an empowered voice in responding to the art. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts.



Bill Holsinger-Robinson

Bill Holsinger-Robinson is Executive Director of ArtPrize. He serves a dual role as president of Pomegranate Studios, an incubator that ideates, develops and launches a wide variety of web-enhanced businesses. ArtPrize was its first project. In other work with Rick DeVos, he serves as COO of Spout.com, an online community focusing on films and the film industry. Spout is a pioneer in re-thinking how movies get distributed and filmmakers market to their audiences. Prior to Spout, Bill led e-business strategy and initiatives at the furniture maker Herman Miller, Inc. He also led a consulting business, appliedthinking, where he focused on ideation, strategy, and communications for a wide range of clients.


Jeffrey Meeuwsen

Jeffrey Meeuwsen is Chief Advisor and Director of Cultural Relations for ArtPrize and Executive Director of the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA), Michigan’s largest contemporary art center. He has been recognized as one of "Grand Rapids' Best and Brightest Business Leaders" and one of "20 to Watch" (The Grand Rapids Business Journal and Grand Rapids Magazine). An award-winning mixed media artist, Jeffrey was the 2007 recipient of Kendall College of Art & Design’s Recent Graduate Achievement Award. Before joining ArtPrize and the UICA, Jeffrey was the Principal of a design firm specializing in public spaces. He also spent more than ten years in advertising and market research. He is a former board member of the ArtWorks youth job training program and the Michigan Association of Community Arts Agencies. He currently serves on the board of directors for ArtServe Michigan.



David Abbott

David Abbott is Development Director for ArtPrize. He recently moved back to his hometown, Grand Rapids after living and working in Philadelphia and Toronto. His qualifications made him a shoo in to direct the event's retail experience in 2009. It quickly became apparent he could direct the organization's development as well. His career includes a reputation as a "what to wear" advisor with his luxury retail positions in fashion, forecasting/buying for Holt Renfrew in Canada and owning/managing A.K. Rikk's in Grand Rapids. With ArtPrize he takes on a new role in sponsor development. He currently serves on a marketing committee for Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids and in many groups at Westminster Presbyterian Church.



Paul Moore

Paul Moore serves as Communication and Marketing Director for ArtPrize. He attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was quickly seduced into filmmaking. He worked on film crews in every capacity, eventually garnering a few Telly awards for directing. Joining Rick DeVos in founding Spout.com was an irresistible chance to redefine how movies are marketed using social media. He directed SpoutBlog, edited by Karina Longworth, which quickly became a leading voice in film criticism. He also created the Webby-nominated podcast, FilmCouch, where favorite memories include interviewing Werner Herzog, Julian Schnabel and Michel Gondry. ArtPrize continues a personal theme of helping creators connect with new audiences.
