Event Assistant
The Events Assistantship with ArtPrize offers one individual a multi-faceted, hands-on experience with an internationally recognized event placed in the heart of Grand Rapids, Michigan in the fall of 2013. Opportunities will be project-based highlighting the responsibilities that will be shared in each specific department/area of programming. Each assistant will participate in three phases of work: research, engagement, and implementation. The position will allow for building relationships and connecting with community leaders, business leaders, ArtPrize Team, interns, volunteers, and vendors. Accountabilities include serving in a host/hostess capacity at events for sponsors, artists, venues, and public; assisting in preparing for all ArtPrize events including set up and tear down; managing/training volunteers and interns; serving as the point person for specific events/programming throughout ArtPrize 2013.
Requirements
- Serving in a host/hostess capacity at events for sponsors, artists, venues, and public
- Assisting in preparing for all ArtPrize events including set up and tear down
- Managing/training volunteers and interns
- Serving as the point person for specific events/programming throughout ArtPrize 2013
- Applicants must have related events experience and a Bachelors degree in at least one of the following areas: hospitality, events, marketing, public relations, communication.
