I have always been fascinated with color, texture, sound and smells. These fascinations have led me through music, painting, photography, cooking, aromatherapy and to my latest creative outlet which is hand spinning, dyeing and weaving. I am very connected to animals, nature, and creating by hand. I raise a lot of my own fiber animals. I love the fact that I can harvest the fiber, spin, weave a garment and have what I call a "bunny hug" wrapped around me all day. Fiber Art from the hoof up! I am a 1996 GVSU Alumni and lived in Heritage Hill until 1999 when I got married and moved to Scotland. I learned to hand spin and weave there. I was first introduced to weaving and fiber art while living in Cuzco, Peru in 1985. Current location is a cabin in the Colorado Mountains. Some of my work has been exhibited at the Fremont Center for the Arts in Canon City. See my work online. Check out all the various blogs and locations to see my work from my face book page.
