King's art explores the concept that all of life stems from the same cosmic energy source and embraces the idea that spirit is eternal. Many of King’s works combine the processes of painting, drawing and sculpture. Using mixed materials such as soldered wire, gauze, adhesive, acrylic gels and color tints she forms her artworks by stretching fabric over a linear wire armature. Her art investigates the micro and macro worlds and can be viewed as a seed under a microscope or a distant galaxy. As a member of Chicago Sculptors International, Jill's sculpture has been exhibited at the Garfield Park Conservatory, Art Chicago 2011 and SOFA CHICAGO 2012. Her latest sculpture was featured in “Process of Scale”- The Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, Chicago and The Catholic Theological Union in Hyde Park, Chicago. She currently teaches adult art enrichment at the Evanston Art Center, IL. and through her own Studio workshop called Artists Seeds which she founded and directs in Evanston, IL.
