open source studio and gallery
Venue description
the open source studio and gallery is a live/work storefront space on the avenue for the arts (south division ave). the space is geared towards acoustic musical performance, but has the ability to also act as a showcase gallery. the space itself is wide open with high ceilings, so large scale work is welcome and encouraged. the space was created with the intention of giving local artists and musicians a place to gather, collaborate, perform, and synergize. the only rule is that anyone who performs, creates or displays art, or visits the space conduct themselves with a positive and respectful attitude that is also reflected in their work.

Floor plan notes: the space is fairly wide open, but the best display area would be in the front half of the room, which accounts for approximately 400-500 square feet. the front area offers two large storefront windows, and there is a a stage (approximately 90 square feet) that comes right up to the windows. in addition, in the center of the space there are four continuous skylights providing great natural light and approximately 14 feet of linear display space.
