Artist bio I am a late blooming, self taught artist. My first taste of the art world was through a small stained glass class about 12 years ago. It was my wish to do my "Partridge in a Pear Tree" that moved my work into the metal field. I spent many hours trying to figure out how to make that one tree, but it was worth it. I have been able to show bark texture, knots, imperfections and depth with my copper technique. I find it very important that most of my materials are recycled. The rocks that are used in my work are collected by my kids and I while we are on vacation. I love that so many wonderful memories are part of my art! I need to thank all the important people in my life who put up with me and my attempted artistic endeavors. Mom and Dad, my husband and 4 kids, and my family and friends, who are ALL my biggest cheerleaders. Thank You!!!

Description of work: Recycled Spirits will be an 8't x 10'w room divider. The tree at one end will be flat and crudely made of recycled steel. The divider will then progress to more refined trees, with a 3-D pine tree at the other end, that will be life like. Each tree will have a wood "spirit" to represent the life left in the steel. This spirit may show itself in the form of a face, hands or toes.....
