Eric Nugent
Artist bio Born in Northern Michigan, Eric Nugent began creating art at a very early age. He has always had a passion for learning new mediums and techniques. In junior high, he became focused on becoming a professional artist. Eric began taking college level art classes at the local community college. He continued this higher-level education all throughout his high school career. By the time he graduated Houghton Lake High School in 2003, he had enough credits to start college at Kendall College of Art & Design as a sophomore. Eric studied illustration and graduated with a BFA in 2006. Upon graduation, he had a full-time job illustrating at a Grand Rapids, MI promotional company. Eric left the company in September 2008 to forge ahead with his own art business, Nugent Artwork. His artwork has won numerous awards and has been shown throughout the US. He is a member of the Portrait Society of America as well as the Art Council of Greater Grand Rapids.
