Description of work: A series of site specific murals installed on the interior walls of Stella's Lounge. The installation reflects both the growth of Grand Rapids and the playful chaos of an artist's mind. The installation includes giant organic structures and stylized deities that Erkfitz is known for as well as signature styles from Mitchell Hess, Cameron Murray and Jeremiah Johnson. The vibrant colors and comic styled imagery interact perfectly with the dark restaurant atmosphere. |
