image of young lady with mental illness and a picture of a skull superimposed on her face a few days before she commited suicide after years of suffering with bipolar disease and on the other side a depiction of a mask that we use to portray to the world that we are okay when inside we are not. in the process of completition. still adding detail and yet to be framed. my hope is to get people thinking about mental illness as something not always easily seen or recognized and is often ignored out of not understanding it is a lifelong disease which desperately needs more research, better treatment options and a society educated with understanding and the desire to call attention to and seek treatment for and not quietly push it away.
