"Japanese Gardens"

My painting depicts a scene of the Japanese Gardens, inside the Frederik Meijer Gardens Sculpture Park here in Grand Rapids. The values, tones, colors and mirrored images in the water, inspired me to capture this on canvas. It is astonishing to me to see how intricately each rock and plant was formed by the Creator's Hand, creating a symphony of bursting colors to hold the viewer's eye. It also amazes me to witness the gifts given to the Japanese Gardens landscape artist. He intricately placed each rock and vegetation in such a way that resonates harmony and balance. This scene tells the story of how, "God's invisible nature can be clearly seen by the things He has made." ~Romans 1:20 Take time out from your busy schedule to be still, and stand in awe of the beauty surrounding us.
