Sisters

"It's a girl? ...are you sure? Can you you double check?" Yep. Pretty much the worst reaction you could have. My wife was not impressed to say the least. I was scared to death. If it were a boy, we could play sports, fish, camp, do all the cool father and son stuff. But a girl?? I had no idea, I was scared to death. That was twelve years and three daughters ago. I don't have enough space here to describe how much I've learned, grown and loved because of these little ladies. I'm blessed to have three wonderful, healthy girls, and as an artist there isn't any more important subjects to paint than your own family. Honestly, I painted these for my wife and I, to hang in our home for as long as we're here, and then maybe the girls would keep them in their homes. Artprize entries are for important works that carry powerful messages, or advance the field of art, not for pictures of our kids! Maybe. Or maybe not. I present my daughters, or as they would prefer to be addressed - Sisters!
