My entry for Artprize 2017 will be an outdoor installation consisting of a modified version of the sculpture in the picture uploaded above. The unnamed figure was previously exhibited in the Grand Haven Artwalk of 2015. This figure combines a welded, white powdercoated steel torso and biomorphic cherry wood legs, arms and maple head. The white resin fiberglass surfaces will provide a canvas for graphic references, images and identities related to the crisis however I so choose. Additional volunteer artists and friend's services may be employed on the graphic surfaces as well as stencil and and primitive lettering. The steel torso is being modified from the pictured version and a new head has been crafted. The legs are connected to white foot plates at the feet which are secured down by threaded cement anchors. An additional anchor is required center forward of the legs via a cable connection to the hips at center. This piece stands around sixteen feet tall and approx 5' wide x 5' deep.
