It is difficult to explain how my mind works. This artwork will give you an idea of how I see things. Many people like me with brain damage face the world in a different way. In my case like my artwork one side is vivid and the other dull. “Its OK to be Different”. I never felt different until I looked at my self in the mirror and realized; I do look different. My body was crippled. I was in my moms belly for 8 months when she had chicken pox, I was on the edge of death. The labor was serious and I was born with a damaged brain, but I was alive. I know my family and my church loves me, but I was bullied, made fun of, mocked and name calling since I can remember. I know just like me there are many young people that feel different. For all those people, i want you to know that “It's OK to be Different” and to the others, please be kind for you may need kindness one day. We are all the same in God’s eyes and he loves us all. Please come by and remind me that “Its’ OK to be Different!
