Fields of Queen Anne's Lace at Sunrise and Sunset

Fields of Queen Anne’s lace, one at sunrise, the other at sunset represent my final effort in a long series of Queen Anne’s lace paintings. In the past, I have taken the lace from sheer design (two dimensional) to paintings with deep space as is represented by my final two landscapes paintings. Colors in the two paintings are different, but related. In that white reflects all colors, I have filled the lace with and surrounded by great color. Because the lace is so intricate, I play it against a soft sky and atmospheric fog at sunrise. While at sunset, I use soft bluish/gray rocks for the needed contrast. I am extremely happy with the paintings and I hope that you are able to accommodate them.
