Page One is a collaborative piece between story and images. The short story is a journal for the reader to explore existence and how we, as readers, create existence. The oil paintings are an accompaniment to the short story and engage viewers in the same experience, telling them a similar story, but through a different medium. The goal of Page One is to combine different mediums to tell the beginning of a story they must create.

Ian and Courtney Burk are artists who work in vastly different mediums. Ian sticks to lines and colors while Courtney focuses on fabricating lies to engage her readers.
