This new and experimental watercolor technique uses light fast liquid watercolor which is applied to a synthetic paper that does not absorb much of the liquid. The colors float and move on the surface as they dry. Fibers stretched across the paper absorb and hold some of the liquid and pigment, leaving fascinating and detailed organic tracks across the paper. Seeing as the bright white paper does not absorb the color, more is reflected back to the viewer, causing these paintings to have a noticeable vibrancy and intense color. The paintings are framed without glass, as a protective coating has been applied.
