Endless Journey

The creek winds along its banks and has a continuous flow of water around and over rocks, logs and leaf debris. It seems to come out of nowhere and eventually has an ending point into a larger body of water. It is a movement that fascinates me. As a child, I spent countless hours enjoying the creek that ran through the woods in our backyard. Wading through the cold water or crossing the creek on the fallen logs. I composed this painting to lead you through the creek, on a journey, and hope that you will want to spend some time there. Imagine the sounds of a babbling brook as the water quickly runs through the course; a peaceful respite of time. This painting was created as part of a series using creeks as a metaphor of the ever changing aspects of our lives. It is timeless in it's message of mindfully following your muse in life over and under obstacles. Besides, my childhood creek, my inspiration comes from the many plein air studies of local streams.
