Globally there are twenty one million sex trafficking victims and the average age of those victims is thirteen. Currently there are more slaves than ever before and more and more woman and children are falling victim to exploitation and abuse. As a resident of Portland, Oregon we often hear the words "Portlandia", "Equality", "City of Roses" and "Green". However currently Portland has the most sex shops per capita in all of the US (including Las Vegas) and a growing problem with woman and children being sold into sex slavery. Just like exotic animals being poached woman and children are being shipped as cargo and treated like animals often in plane view, however unnoticed. The "Lion or Woman" project is about bringing awareness to this growing issue. Every Painting sold will help raise funding to fight sex trafficking including support for woman who are coming out of this barbaric and cruel reality.
