Oil Painting: Ice Storm 2013 The winter of 2013 is one that Michigan will never forget. A week before Christmas, the storm came through and knocked out power to the majority of the area, leaving homes without power and heat. In times of hardship such as this, happiness is sure to follow. This painting keeps the happy memories of the 2013 ice storm alive! Two oak trees had fallen at the end of our driveway. Due to the size of the downed trees, it took most of the spring and summer to clean it all up. They say many hands make light work, and thanks to our two year old grandson, Steven, not only did the job get done, but it was done with laughter and fun! The finished size of this painting with frame is 29x41x2. The painting was done on canvas with oils and shows a grandfather and grandson working together.
