Descendants of Eve

One day I watched a documentary on human genetics where one study after collecting hundreds of samples of human DNA from many different races, the conclusion was reached that within all human life there is only a 4 percent difference in our individual DNA, This was the inspiration for this print depicting Eve, as the mother of the human race, combined with symbolism referencing the Garden of Eden; whether you believe in the Bible or Evolution we share one common origin and genetic history, we are one human race. Given the recent hate related shootings I decided to add a low relief frame emphasizing one human race theme of the piece; to hate another is to hate ourselves. The prints surface will be displayed under low relief cast glass, giving the piece a enhanced feel of depth, and be comprised of about a dozen different face casts of people of various ethnic backgrounds.
