'Diary of a City'

'Diary of a city', is a visual representation of the effects your childhood can have on you when you're older. So if you imagine that this is actually one person throughout their whole life. 'Shortly before her grandmother passed, she received this table and diary from her as a gift; in the prefix of the diary, there's actually a small message from her grandmother which reads in short "Follow your dreams and don't let anybody, or anything hold you back and write everything in the diary" ... shortly after her grandmother passed, she actually had a dream about her, of which she decided to paint on the very table she was gifted. If you imagine that the person in the portraits in front of you, has already lived a full life, she's well over 100 years old, but the only thing is, is that she left behind an unfinished diary, which in a sense to her, is an unfinished life story. Anybody who visits the piece can anonymously write in the diary, as if they're Hayley herself...
