Bee the Queen

My fascination with the paper from Bald Faced Hornets and Yellow Jackets (which my piece is completely covered with) includes the lives these creatures live. The Queen Bee is responsible for the creation of future generations. She decides where her nest will be built, lays the eggs of workers that help build the nest, then when it is time she will lay future Queens and males that will breed to carry on the cycle. What a task they preform. This leads me to compare my life as a wife and mother to those important females. I have always enjoyed making my home a good place for my husband and children. There is a pride in me when I watch my grandchildren and see the love their parents have for them. Maybe my husband and I did something right! "Bee the Queen" represents a combination of a woman and the Queen bee! I hope you enjoy her.
