Ten Thoughts On Tuesday

Ten Thoughts on Tuesday, began as a need for more structure in the studio. I set myself the challenge to conceive a new piece every Tuesday for 10 weeks. The only rule being that each piece would stand on the same vase form. None of the pieces are otherwise related. I press mold the work using vintage molds to produce a variety of motifs. Unlike slip casters, each object is hand pressed to produce a unique surface. The series is literally a snap shot of where my mind went each day of the ten week personal challenge. Some weeks were easier than others. But I feel that a very diverse array of work came from the challenge. The series has been displayed one time before at my solo show "Congeries, Amassment and Heaps" featured at the William Bonifas Fine Arts Center in Escanaba, Michigan From 3/31/2016 - 4/28/2016.
