"River Dance"

Each year salmon literally fight for their lives swimming up the rivers to lay their eggs. It is a rigorous journey over rocks, around river grasses, as well as strong currents. In this piece, "Riverdance", I portray their struggle for survival of their species depicting those very elements in their journey that they experience. The fish have been sculpted out of butternut wood and the reeds and rocks have been done using various hardwoods.
