Hello there! Here is the info about "Beauti-full Michigan": I'm going to back to nature this year and I am entering a 3D piece—it is comprised of two metal racks in the shape of the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan. My husband, Carl is my partner on this project; he is doing the welding and a bit of the photography. On the two racks [which will be painted black], I will be hanging close to 100 small & medium Michigan nature photos printed on aluminum. After I took my favorite photo of the Bald Eagle, I joined several art groups and have been active ever since! I love to come up with new ideas of applying my photos artistically to different media. I’ve been hatching this idea in my mind for about two years and finally, it is coming to fruition! This is my sixth participation in ArtPrize and Carl's first. Enjoy!

About Deb Drew Brown & Carl Brown
Carl Brown and I have been married for almost 15 years. During that time, I got very active in photography and joined several art groups. I've won awards over the years and have had some of my photos published. Carl is not an artist but he wanted to weld this project for me; he's great at any job he does and we haven't argued even once--yet!
