StoryLines

Whimsical birds fly in scenes made of wool, yarn, roving and other textiles. Applique and layered fabrics bring a sense of depth to each story line. The colorful and 'cartoon-like' birds capture the attention of a young child. As a speech language pathologist I combined my love for textile art with original silly rhyming stories to help families of very young children hear and repeat the earliest speech sounds in a playful, interactive manner. It is my hope that this artistic display will inspire caregivers and parents to verbally engage with their child throughout each day especially during that critical first year of life.
