I wrote, 'Better Than Today" with, Mark Barger Elliot in 2012, a day after the devastating violence at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. In June 2015, more innocent lives were taken tragically at the shooting in Charleston, SC at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. We decided that we wanted to release this song with the hope that it could bring peace and hope to the hearts who hear it. Senseless violence can make us angry and fearful. We hear stories of lives taken tragically and we cannot understand why, no matter how hard we pray or how hard we search to find an answer. I truly believe that LOVE is the strongest force in our world. Faith, hope and love can change our world for the better. This song is a prayer for those who grieve the loss of loved ones, those who work for justice and peace and those who strive to make tomorrow, better than today. Musicians include Karisa Wilson and Theo Ndawillie II. Produced by Brian Vander Ark.
