Pearl

Pearl had sadness in her eyes. but that's what made her beautiful, so touchable, real, rather than that plastic coat of "beauty" that keeps everyone far away from one another. She had so many broken pieces to her heart but that's how the light danced with kaleidoscopic transcendence on her rib's canvas. In her cracks the light serenaded as though reunited with a long lost love. Her shoulders were worn from all the storms she carried but they were also brave and able. Carrying her tragedies with grace had cut into her curves of softness and strength in all the right places. She was now like ocean. Cradled in galecies. Her feet were scared and sore. But at least she was now walking her own way and making her own path. They were proof she had stood up instead of hidden away. She had climbed on instead of turning back. She had stopped following......... butterfliesandpebbles
