Must Be The Shoes

Carpenter's Cross

Must Be The Shoes is about not judging others based on their appearance - in this case, not judging their shoes. In the course of learning about the repercussions of poorly formed assumptions, a whimsical exploration of the range of human behavior is presented by examining the types of shoes we wear. Although a song with a serious message, it is treated in a light pop style with a catchy refrain, tight vocal harmonies, and interplaying guitar hooks. This is the second appearance in ArtPrize for the local Grand Rapids band, Carpenter’s Cross, and they are grateful for the opportunity to present their material and hope that you enjoy their unique approach to writing and performing songs with a message.
