Who has not had a moment when they felt a sudden connection to a wholly other that surpasses all rational understanding? Thinkers, like Rudolph Otto have called this an experience of the Numinous. Although these transcendent moments cannot be fully understood or their insights retained, the memories of these connections still affect us deeply. As artists we believe they are recalled and expressed through myth and symbol, art and poetry, dance and music. Our exhibit is an attempt to explore such thoughts and experience.
