American Cloth

American Cloth connects the relationship between the working class and the clothing that's often associated to the working class. Movement in the shapes and layers of reworked paint create texture and depth throughout the piece. Looking closely, there is much more detail to the paint than from a distance. The layers and scrapes of paint are recognizable and the time spent working on it subtly reveals itself, similarly to the hours clocked in by the working class. Often their work goes unappreciated or unnoticed, but without it, without the small, necessary details of their work, our world would not function.
