What We Stand On

This artwork is a metal print of the original oil on canvas painting. Dedicated to American Red Cross that helped our family during the home fire two years ago. In March 2015 I have been commissioned to paint an artwork as a wedding gift, based on an ancient myth, that says that a Family is held by three elephants: Love, Commitment, Communication. I threw myself passionately into a magical process of a palette knife painting. I wanted to represent a Family as an incredibly energetic unit that has lots of ongoing dynamics and great positive energy. The elephants must be strong, work as a team and be grounded. The meaning of my artwork went far beyond just a family unit. To me, it represents all of us, people from different countries, who can achieve true happiness only through Communication, Commitment and Love. Interestingly, the groom of that young couple is from Mexico, the bribe-from Ukraine, and I am from Russia (Belarus).
