The 100 Tables Project

My art piece expresses the idea of community service; helping others and giving unconditionally. I started taking old tables and refurbishing them with the goal of creating 100 tables. I brought my idea to Creekside Middle School in Zeeland , asking if they wanted to work with me. I asked only for volunteers that wanted to help others that are struggling in the community. Our goal is to sell all of our tables and raise $10,000 and give this to families in need within the school and community. This amazing power of kindness has shown within Creekside with volunteers both students and adults coming forward saying"can I volunteer" and "how can I help" and "when can I purchase a table". Because of this, we began selling tables and giving the proceeds immediately to those in need of our assistance. Thus, this piece of artwork, The 100 Tables Project is now a collection of both tables and photographs of tables. This artwork shows how ART truly impacts the lives of others. This project has already made $4200 toward helping families in need. Please help us reach our goal of $10,000 and helping local families in need.
