Baby Elephant

Christine Photo Art

Surrounded by thickly forested mountains, the beautiful Mae Taeng Valley is home to dozens of rescued elephants. Elephant Nature Park, a rescue facility in Northern Thailand, is where I experienced the thrill of interacting with these majestic creatures. The little guy pictured was playful and mischievous. He even snuck up behind me and pushed me! One of my favorite moments in Thailand, no doubt. :) The entry itself is composed of 13 separate pieces, printed on metal, that are assembled in four layers of overlapping segments to produce the final 3-D work. Please note, due to the nature of the medium used to create this piece, it's true impact is nearly impossible to convey in a two-dimensional image. I would be happy to present it in person for better consideration.
